Indigo Happi Coat for a Glass Factory
This is a graphic cotton men's happi coat, or work jacket, for a Japanese glass shop. The lower portion of the back of the coat is decorated with kanji and is created using a resist dye technique known as tsutsugaki. The jacket reads Hojo Glass Shop.
It is in overall good condition with some patina to the lower left front of the jacket and a small tear to the upper left shoulder. The issues do not detract from the garment's appearance or wearability.
